The Great Avanta Bake Off

On Friday 7th November we hosted a Pink Friday in our Head office to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

All staff members wore a pink item of clothing and made a donation. We also held the Great Avanta Bake Off.

We are pleased to announce the Great Avanta Bake Off raised £283 for Breast Cancer Care.
On Friday 7th November, we hosted a Pink Friday in our Head office, with all staff members wearing a pink item of clothing.
We also held the Great Avanta Bake Off.
There was some weary looking staff members on Friday morning, as the majority had been up all night perfecting (Remaking!) their goods.
Tensions ran high, as our very own Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry (Craig and Nichola) tasted the samplings, as each budding baker looked on nervously. There was a tie-breaker for first prize between Becky's Ribbon buns and Rob's Pink flapjack.
The judges decided that Becky's buns were the winner, and she was crowned Star Baker.
bakeSenior Recruiter Paul took home the wooden spoon award, with his barely edible raspberry brownies. "I just don't understand what's happened. I've made them a hundred times before, and they have always been a success" he said.
It was a fun day, that raised money for a very worthy cause.
